But I'll update this one too sometimes
| Some adults can only piss me off. The new science teacher for example (yes, after almost one year she's still new, because no one likes her). She said it herself that the non-metalic elements on the right side of period table (except noble gasses) are the most reactive non-metals. That means halogens (group 17) have high reactivity. However in the test (multiple choice) the "right answer" for halogen is solid purple crystal that does not conduct electricity nor reactive. Yes, I know that salts are crystals, solid, and don't conduct electricity, but I didn't choose the "right answer" because halogens are supposed to be reactive. FACE IT! When I asked her about that she said that she meant whether it reacts with water and acid or not. WELL WHERE ON THE FUCKING TEST DID IT SAY SO?!
I've said this so many times before, I miss Mr. Maday.
| After 5 hours/80 songs, I was finally done with my three essay-assignments!
It was followed by an hour of iron-on shirt printing!
On the evening, I went out and got my green, lovely 8th grade formal dress! (Which I would take a picture of when it's been washed, because I forgot to take a picture of it today)
When I got home, my mom gave me a pair of black shoes that go with my dress!
And now I'm done with pretty much everything I need to do!
Hurray!!!
Jazz Night on Tuesday. I'm going to play guitar with the middle school Stage Band, dressed like a Catholic-school-girl from a mafia family. W00t!
What a rare good, hyper mood... and I was actually listening to Alkaline Trio earlier today. It's been so long... I'm even thinking of giving them another chance, for the new album and stuff, I meant.
| Personally, I don't like John Steinbeck or Of Mice and Men, but that one book used a pretty cool way of telling the story because several events were "repeated." (No, I will not spoil it any further.) Unfortunately I can't use that style for the assignment because it wasn't named in the handout.
I'm going to (hopefully) finish the book project and social studies country factbook project (hhhh... ) this weekend, and then finish The God of Small Things and get Animal Farm and/or The Virgin Suicides if I'm not broke. Let's just see if I'll have time to amuse myself with iron-on printing.
| - Shooting Star I got into both bands!!!!! But I'll choose Jazz Band anyway, unless the high school schedule would be changed (where Jazz Band people have to attend Syphonic Band as well). Either one is fine with me.
A friend of mine who auditioned didn't get in because there's only 1 chair left for oboe in symphonic band, and another person who auditioned (who is also our friend) got in instead. My friend (who didn't get in) ended up crying on and off all day everytime the band subject was brought up. I understand that it's quite unfair that she didn't get in just because there's no more space left for her. Besides Concert Band (the only band option for people who didn't pass the audition) plays "baby" music, according to some people. But it was weird having to walk all day beside your crying friend who didn't pass the audition while you passed 2 of them. And it's as if she doesn't want to be playing oboe in any kind band class anymore except if it's Symphonic... Oh well.
